How is Living Earth Compost 100% weed-free?

The green waste is shredded, then laid out into windrows to compost. The windrows reach a minimum temperature of 55 degrees within 2 or 3 days. After 3 days at this temperature most weed seeds including oxalis are dead and will no longer germinate. Gorse seeds will take 7-12 days at 55 degrees. It takes 90-120 days to make compost at Living Earth and it is held at 55 degrees throughout thistime
